On March 19th, St. Mary’s Pastoral Council hosted a “Know Your Rights” forum in the Gidden’s School Hall. We were joined by legal representatives from el Colectiva and IPJC, and Noah Purcell, Washington State solicitor general and son of Paul Purcell and Barb Guzzo, parishioners of St. Mary’s. He was greeted warmly by the attendees, who appreciated the role he played in nullifying President Trump’s executive order that halted reentry of certain legal residents into the U.S. The church celebrated a bilingual mass prior to the forum, emphasizing the message of unity in diversity. We are one church!
